I think this is the first photo I have seen of the entire bridge in the early years. Lot of overhauls over the years. Too bad it isn't wider. I had to go across the other day and with fruit trucks going both ways they don't have much clearance. I know they clip each others mirrors all the time. My Dad fell victim to that many years ago...

Not the usual clearness of an Alva Day photo, but I'm glad he took it.
Like Charlott says, might be the only "full length, side view" that we have seen.

How delicate it looks compared to today's rendition. Looks like it could have been built out of popsicle sticks;
I would have thought the grade up to the Pucker Huddle area would have been more obvious at this point in time.

I looked for the Cook grade also Longshot. Maybe it is just the wrong angle to catch it. Or spring time with lots of leaves on the trees making it harder to see.
I think you can usually see it the best when there is snow on the ground.
