This is a nicely done and well documented photo from the Barrett School. It is the 8th grade from 1907.
The back row is identified as: Willie Davidson, Kent Shoemaker, Lavona Moore, Claude Thompson, Lester Murphy and Earl Moses.
In the front row: Ellen Moses, Professor Murphy, and Grace Sherrieb.
I wonder if Lester Murphy was related to his teacher?

Lavona Moore, my great aunt, married Oscar Smith and died in childbirth. She was buried at Idlewild Cemetery in 1910. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/150054976/lavona-may-smith

Lavonna Moore was my grandfather's sister. Something about the dates don't look right. She was born in Gray's Harbor, WA Oct 1889. According to her obituary in the HR Glacier (1910) she attended Barrett School for several years, and she graduated from Barrett in 1907. She married Oscar Smith in 1908, a year after the photo was taken, and she died 5 March 1910 at the age of 20. Maybe she was a teacher, or something like that, at the time of the photo.

Could this be "8th grad class" (graduating), rather than "8th grade"?
