The Museum must have a hundred images of Punchbowl Falls, but this is one of my favorites. It's one of the earlier views, captured on a glass negative by a skilled photographer. It captures the beauty of the scenery, but also shows quite a bit of human activity. If you look up river you can see the bridge we viewed in this earlier image.
Ed. note: I have touched up this image by repairing a major crack in the negative. I usually crop images and digitally adjust exposure, but I try to note any more serious edits.
I wonder what the men are looking at and discussing.

There are people on the bridge watching the, and the man on the log is watching them instead of where he's going. I think the other men are laying bets on whether he'll make it across or not!
