This W.F. Laraway image is titled "Loop Highway Penetrating East Fork Canyon". I can't find the exact bend in the road. There is much more standing timber today, so I suspect those rock outcroppings are hidden from highway view.

There's a similar chicane (left / right / left / right) just south of the junction with Cooper Spur Rd, looking south?

I think you might be correct, Kyle. I was trying to match it northbound but couldn't. Going southbound there is a rock outcrop to the east which looks like a reasonable match.

That was my thought as well, Polallie area, north the narrows.
