Between 1907 and 1937 Oregon State University was officially known as Oregon Agricultural College. This 1910 view is from the large collection we have of Gladys Reavis' postcards. The message to Gladys talks about working all day with "the paving gang" instead of getting to Hood River to celebrate the 4th of July. It appears to be signed "B.C.C."

In 1910 Gladys is 16 years old and living with her parents Thomas and Ida Reavis on a farm on Mt. Hood Road. She had an older step brother Edward Driska. Those initials don't match.
Gladys's father was very prominent in early eastern Oregon history before he moved to HR.

Looks a little different from when I attended in the late 1970's...except some of the buildings we see are (or were) still there. And Mary's Peak, seen in the background to the left, is still there.
