This good looking logging truck looks like it might be on the Dee Highway at one of the Mt. Hood Railroad crossings. I think it's a Chevy truck, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. This is from the late 1940s or early 1950s.

I forgot to add this truck has a tandem axle and most likely rated as a 2 ton vehicle. Maybe a 1952 vintage ??

appears that is a water tank above the cab for the water cooled brakes.

This looks like a stock truck that my dad had back in 1950's early 60's, except it had racks on it to haul cattle. It didn't have a water tank for the brakes, but I know the brakes went out on him one time coming down a hill with a load of cows. He managed to put the truck into the ditch with out too much damage to him, the truck or the livestock.

Streaks of water down the hill meant water cooled brakes ahead.
