This early W.F. Laraway portrait was from an era when he had almost every subject hold a piece of fruit. We believe this is Howard Cooper and Thurston Laraway, with Grandma Hobson looking on. The fruit is shaped and textured like an orange but it seems to have a dark skin.
Is the woman on the left margin one of the Mom's?

Looks like the same house that we saw a couple of days ago in photo minus the downspout.
Thurston Larraway was 4 years old in 1900 and living in Glenwood, Iowa., so these must be Iowa fruit.
Thurston is actually Howard's uncle. Howard's mother, Cora Laraway Cooper was 25 years older than her brother Thurston.

Arthus this is probably too early for him to have been using a colored filter (red, green) on that lens, I suppose? Because that could darken the fruit in the shot...
