I'm guessing this view of a Mt. Hood Railroad locomotive pushing freight up the valley is from the 1970s or 1980s.

Up or down, pushing or pulling? Unclear to me.

They're looking in the "pull" direction, for what little that's worth...

mixed freight on the MHRR...very historic....any news on the MHRR's future?

Definitely looks like a working train. Wonder what they are hauling. Apples for cider?

Looking north with a cliff to the east of the RR and an elevated field to the west..
Looks to be relatively soon after leaving the terminal in midsummer?

Just south of this spot, do you come up out of the creek bottom?

I think this is the climb up from Whiskey Creek (or down, JKG).

I think this photo was taken from the Paasch Drive bridge over the MHRR. The switchback results in the orientation or the locomotive somewhat random, but diesel-electric locomotives work equally well in either direction. I vote for the train being pulled southbound towards Pine Grove.

more importantly....any news on the over due HR County property tax payments or what is owed to the Parkdale community?
...rumor is that we will soon have a new County Commissioner on-board.
I vote for JEC's location...and suggest that this is a pull versus push....engineer/fireman track view would be total crap if a push and would probably need a brakeman hanging on the tail.......
