OK, a bonus view-- Crater Lake Lodge in 1924. It's the middle of summer, and maybe a dozen automobiles have made the trek.
Crater Lake Lodge was less than 10 years old when Olga visited. They didn't spend the night-- check back later to see their evening accommodations.

I wonder if they stayed at the lodge or continued to camp. There is smoke coming out of the chimney which I thought was odd for the month of August, then remembered the kitchen would still be cooking on a wood stove.

Getting into my home area but my dad preferred fishing at Diamond lake a few miles NW. Years ago I set up a scout bike trip from Crater north along the Cascades to Sisters and down to Springfield.
