It's occasionally fun to see images in color. In July, twenty years ago, Subaru was the headline sponsor of the Gorge Games. This week will see a few of the many events at the Games. Hopefully they'll bring back some memories.
This image is from the dual slalom bike race at Mt. Hood Skibowl. Does anyone recognize the competitors? (a reader has identified them as Steve Peat from England (R) and Wade Bootes from Australia (L))

I went to my downhill racing nephew to get the scoop on this picture. He raced downhill that day, but he said this race was a dual slalom race. The man on the right is Steve Peat from England. The other man is Wade Bootes from Australia. He is now the coach for the BMX Australian team.
