This image from the M.F. Shaw album may not be from around Hood River, but it's worth sharing anyway. It's entitled "Chinese Vegetable Peddler." From the context in the album, it may be in the Salem area or the Wallowas.
It's hard to imagine a world without modern food distribution networks, but it wasn't too long ago that this would be how you got the produce you didn't grow yourself.

This would be a great example of what Kyle talked about in photo #2312, when using the software "Deoldify". Not only the skin tone of different races, but would it get the color of the cow right.
