Marie Pickering brought in a collection of images she says came from Beth Hukari documenting Beth's Mom's days in Campfire Girls. This looks like a July 4th float to me. The Owl and the Pussycat?
There isn't a date on this image, but other images in the collection show dates range from 1959 to 1964. Can anyone identify the girls? The truck is a Chevy. I'm sure we'll get a year soon.

These were photos from my Mom- Marian Gordon Hukari and her twin sister Helen-from their time as camp counselors for Camp Yallani- and Campfire girls in Parkdale. I was hoping Marie would recognize some of the girls.

Thanks for filling in the history, Beth. I'm sure we'll get some IDs on this and the other photos.
I'll correct the caption to indicate it is from your Mom.

I helped out as a swim front counselor at Yallani in 1973, so it was still going then. It was a very special activity that was supported by the community, rather like a local tradition. Rough sleeping arrangements and pit toilets and a main hall for meals..

Well no truck comments yet, so I'll chime in. Dad had one that style that was a '57; I believe in '58 it changed, and prior to about '54 was the softer, less aggressive design.
