Lee Curtis sent us this image seeking information on the school and the ragtag team of baseball players. He said it was from his mother, who lived here in the 1930s.
My best guess is this is the side entrance of the Pine Grove school. If that's correct, I'll bet we'll get some IDs on the players soon!

I don't recall any entrances like that in Pine Grove School. I am more inclined to think that might be Parkdale. (The school across from the train.) I believe that Lee's mother lived up in the Parkdale area.

I will be checking back in to get an update!
Will the reflections in the windows help with ID of location?

Those kids all look like caricatures for a play! And isn't that a girl in the middle holding a bat?

It seems to be the west (side) entrance to the Pine Street school which faces the athletic fields. It's not the common view, but makes sense for a baseball team picture.
I added a street view to the post.

To me, it looks like the reflection of a church steeple in the window, which I think would work out right for this entrance?

I am puzzled: Pine St school? Where would that have been?
