Good call Arthur on the water infusion.....also appears to be a Model-T made prior to 1915. The building is under repair of the L/H roof.....tree fall on it or ???

Showing my age, but I remember always having water along for the radiator on trips. Particularly on the coast where there were big hills. The canvas water bag hanging on the side rear view mirror. And the tire repair kit with pump for flat tires. After the war there was a rapid transition to the big cars, automatic transmissions, and cars that would go 100 mph across the Newport bridge.

I have a picture of Dee Hotel and shows a porch on the two sides that goes around and same thing on the top floor also just has wood slats and not showing any rock foundation

Looks like there is a forested hill to the left of the picture and that the building might be facing somewhere between the southeast and the south west, the shadows are far from distinct though.

In photo #23, the roof line doesn't look the same. I suppose it could have been remodeled.

The main building could have had a rock foundation and then when the porches were added they could well have been supported on posts and got a vertical slat skirting.
None of the windows are really right between this photo and the one L.E. posted though.

Curious, windows, foundation and roof are not right, and possibly too close to the hill?

Maybe the second Winan's hotel that was built. Small mention of it being built by Paul Winan's In the hood river glacier March 26, 1914, page 7. Finished building mentioned in The Hood River glacier., June 04, 1914, Page 7

Good find val.
Does anyone know where the Winans hotel was built as you are driving out to Dee?
From looking at maps, I assume, if driving south, the hotel setting would be before you reach the Dee Mill setting?
