Do you recognize this architectural feature? This photo was taken in 1979, but the building is still around and has been in the news lately.
Yes, this is the old City Hall. It was built in 1920 as both City Hall and the fire station for the cost of $30,000. It is currently undergoing renovation so it can serve as City Hall and the police station. The brick you see here is being steam cleaned and the mortar repointed. These light fixtures will be repaired and should once again illuminate this distinguished facade.

Beware Hood River drivers as I once again travel the streets, gawking around, searching for Arthur's mysteries.
