She was born in 1838 in Lake County, Ohio, but family moved to Minnesota where she married Oscar L. Stranahan. Her maiden name was Berden.
One very interesting note about her was she was very involved in Asbury Methodist Church. One of the stain glass windows that faces State St. was donated by her in memory of her husband.

She looks very much like my Grandmother, Nellie Davenport. Nellie was all of 4'9'" tall. Was Adelia very short also, if anyone knows?

We at Pine Grove MYF used to do things with you guys at Asbury. Maybe I was a neat valley girl and never knew it....HA!!!!!!
