Maltie Dukes was the son of Capt. John Henry Dukes, Civil War veteran his his wife Ursula. The family came from Illinois to Hood River. Maltie's name was actually John Maltimore Dukes. He married Mabel Gladys Cockrell and eventually moved to Portland where in later years he was a crane operator for Willamette Iron and Steel. He had four children : Richard Maltimore, Helen Lucile, Dorothy Jane and Marian Ursula.
I think those are the biggest buttons I have ever seen.
