Do you recognize the spot where this "Kodak moment" took place? Do you know what a "Kodak moment" is?

No doubt the walking bridge over Multnomah Falls. Yes, we had many "Kodak moments" in our family, as my Dad was quite a photographer.

certainly a phrase that places one squarely in the "honored senior" category. and when one talks of the "good old days" a Kodak moment is not one of those in my opinion...todays digital photography is the "good new days"....now typing with your thumbs...........

I have to agree with Arlen. I don't think of myself as an "honored senior", but I certainly spent part of my childhood living the Kodak Moment, and I must say, the modern moment is easier and cheaper.
I remember my first camera, with the instructions, "Don't open it until you have re-wound the film or you will damage your photos."
If you bought 24 photo film, you had to watch the numbers on your camera. Sometimes you couldn't tell if it said 23 or 24.
Then you would turn the little button to get the film back into its little canister, before you could remove it from the camera. Sometimes the film would get hung up, and you would think....I will just open it a little bit, and see what is wrong in there....of course that never worked.
I still have my mom's camera that she took many beautiful scenic slides with.....hate to throw it away.

I choose not the word "senior." I am known as "vintage." Has a classier ring to it.

The same way with the old (vintage) movie cameras. Had to open them up and turn the film over for the next 25 feet! I had a lot of old cameras. They were not collectible......too many around.

Is this from Ed Wonsyld's album? It looks like his mother Kierstine Jorgensen Wonsyld.

That is my great grandmother Kiersten Jorgensen Wonsyld.

the object resting on the rail next to the woman looks like a bike helmet, please tell me what this could be? Also great pix and stories, enjoyed very much!!!

I'm impressed we not only got a location but the person.
I looked at the full resolution scan to check out the "bike helmet." It really does look like a modern bike helmet even. I'm guessing it is a pocket book or something similar, but it really does look like a modern bike helmet.

Looks like a simple purse with a strap over her arm to me.
