The Cottage Hospital association has bought the large residence erected by S.H. Cox some time ago and it is the intention to transform it into a modern up to date hospital.......

In 1924 it was declared structurally unsafe and closed by the Fire Marshall.
But, in typical HR fashion, the fund raising began and they built a bigger and better hospital in 1931.
