And where were you at 7:00 this morning?

I hope Charlott or someone solves this Mystery Monday. I don't think the McRae Ranch is connected with the Rod McRae we have seen in so many HHR photos. Rotary Crew #601, Pet Parade #162, and Rod and the Mrs. in front of the old house #461 because that McRae came to HR in 1927 to assume a post as District Manager for PP&L.

L.E., you forgot to give me the annual reminder that HHR needs to have its master clock adjusted manually for DST.
Arthur on 9th March 2015 @ 10:16am
I only learn about this clock changing stuff on the weekend. Barley time to get my own clocks changed. So…a reminder here to everyone….the bi-annual Friday before we change our clocks, please let Arthur know about the event.
Here is my guess on the “McRae Ranch”. Even if it is a wrong guess, Marion MacRae and her Larkspur Ranch are worth a read.
Marion was a horticulturist. She came to the valley about 1901. She bought land and started an apple orchard. Sunset Magazine in 1916, did an article about her and her Larkspur Ranch.
Overland Monthly and the Out west Magazine did an article. The article shows a photo of her “cabin”.
There is another article in between the photo of the cabin and Larkspur Ranch.

I'd like to know where the ranch was located and is the house still there?

I'm guessing, but maybe Reed Rd, out Oak Grove way, is named after Albert and Florence? Maybe that house was/is there?

Interesting tent camp beside the house. For overflow guests, cook tent, kids,....?
