This view of Pine Grove in the spring has a guess of "about 1915" for the date. Are there any landmarks here that help you set a date range?

Oh Charlott will like this one!
The first time I saw the Pine Grove community, I thought it was like stepping back in time.

Pine Grove Church was built in 1907. This also shows the school prior to the front of it being turned around to face north.
That little white building is the original Pine Grove "board and batten" school that sat originally there somewhere where the big school is/was and then was moved over in that location.
Up there past that tiny little building on the right of what is now Wells Drive would have been where my great-grandmother lived where the tree line starts.
I think the house there on the left was where Ben and Mara (Smith) Lage lived.
I have this exact photo and will have to see if mine has a date on it.
The barn and house there below where the cemetery is was a place that my great-great, maybe even a 3rd great uncle lived after he came here after the Civil War.

The buildings way up the hill on the left of the photo was the home of the Whitecotton family.
That is strange, as it appears as if above where the ditch is now there is a road of some sort, but never have ever seen evidence of one when wandering the hillside as a child or ever heard of one mentioned.........
These little trees in the foreground would have been on Willis Van Horn's property at that time.
